Keep teak's warm, natural look intact for longer with Teak Sealer. This easy-to-apply sealer helps the wood retain its characteristic honey-brown colour and slows down the natural greying process. This keeps your teak looking well cared for for longer, with significantly less maintenance.

Unlike traditional teak oil, Teak Sealer doesn't soak into the wood with a greasy feel and leaves no dark or black stains. The water-based formula forms a protective layer that respects the natural look of the teak while allowing the wood to keep breathing. This keeps the surface beautifully even and easy to maintain.

For the best result, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the teak first with Teak Cleaner & Brightener before applying the sealer. Want to give the wood extra protection against moisture, dirt and mould as well? Finish the teak with Teak PatinaShield for a long-lasting protective layer.

Important: Never use a pressure washer or scrubbing brush on teak, as this can damage the wood fibres. Always wear suitable gloves while applying, and store the product somewhere frost-free to preserve its quality. It's also important never to apply cleaning products to hot or sun-warmed surfaces, as this can affect their action and cause staining.

With new teak: let the furniture stand outside for a week first so it can weather before using the sealer

  1. First clean dark grey teak with Teak Cleaner & Brightener before applying Teak Sealer.
  2. If the cleaned wood feels rough, sand it lightly before using Teak Sealer.
  3. Make sure the teak is 100% dry and dust-free
  4. Cover the surface before you begin.
  5. Shake the product for at least one minute before use. Insufficient shaking can lead to uneven colouring.
  6. Test the sealer first on a small area (for example on the back of a leg) to check that the colour is as desired.
  7. Apply a thin coat of Teak Sealer evenly with a soft cloth. Leave to dry for 30 minutes, then apply a second thin coat.

We recommend treating teak furniture with Teak Sealer once a year.
